Been sitting back and observing the trend on how the auto industry is gravitating towards the V6/I6 platforms. Do you think the SRT Division will eventually go this route as well?
I'm no stranger to V6 platforms as I am a former owner of a Higly modified 90 300ZX Twin Turbo which I believe was waaaaaay ahead of it's time as well as the 90's TT Toyota Supra.
I'm throwing this out there just for conversation, Do you think SRT will produce a V6/I6 performance platform like it did with the SRT-4?
Yeah there has already been a Crossfire SRT-6. I don't see it going to the bigger cars like ours, though. Not even BMW and Mercedes or even Lexus (IS-F) have done anything but V8s on their super sedans. I think it would be a particularly bad move for an American car since we love our muscle.

The "4", "6", "8" and "10" nomenclature is being dropped by SRT. The new Viper is not an SRT10 (SRT Viper), and the 2014 Jeep is not an SRT8 (Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT).

AWD SRT6 Caravan was on a lot of people's wish lists back in the day. The SRT-badged Journey mule running around with manufacturer plates a few years ago also got some folks' attention.
I love the SRT6, spent some seat time in one at Homestead and Daytona. Dynamically it was like a 300zx on steroids, just about as fast in a straight line as the SRT8 but much better cornering capabilities IMO

Best ET-12.79 Best trap speed-111 mph. ESP on!
I finally have my software! Happy Diablo owner.
My Favorite "old car"... 73 Super Duty 455 Trans Am - 13.08 @109 mph when brand new! Just try and find one now!
^ Well it had some good roots... a rebodied Mercedes SLK for less $'s was never going to be a bad thing, considering how well that little platform handled! Unless your Mercedes and realize you just built your own competition and out priced yourself! :o It was no big surprise the SRT6 disappeared as quickly as it came! Too bad that Chrysler kickers who favor other brands claim its all because it was useless... go drive one... I was impressed!

I just read where Chevy isn't going with a turbo V6 in the Vette because it's not any more efficient than their 8's. With our sleds, that probably holds true even more.

That may be so but FORD is offering a very potent turbo six option in thier ecoboost F15O's/Flex/Taurus.
