I have about 6K on my 2013 300S and have enjoyed the car so far. I do have some rattles or creaks in my car when I drive over rough pavement -- these seem to be coming from the leather seats in the back area (seat/luggage rack/door area) and from the glove box area in the front. I don't hear them on smooth pavement, just over bumps. Since I am not a frequent new car driver, I am wondering if this is common for all vehicles ... some rattles or leather creaks? Or should I be concerned? If so, is there anything I can do to at least eliminate some of these? I don't abuse my car, but there are a few rough pavement areas in my daily commute. Thanks for your input.
I heard some rattling noises in the back seat area of my 2012 300C and was able to eliminate it by doing the following:
-Remove the three clips or flip-up covers that lay atop the child seat anchor bars. They were flopping around and making noise. Don't really need them, IMO.
- Pulled down the rear seat center armrest and left it in the down position I think it was vibrating over rough surfaces.
- Tightened the two bolts anchoring the "oh Jesus" handles.
For my glove box, I just made sure that everything in it wasn't sliding around; unless it's just papers, it will make noise IME. Loose stuff goes in the center console and seems to stay quiet in there.
And if you have one, check and see how opening and closing your sunroof impacts the noise level.
If you take all of these steps and still hear rattles, a trip to the dealer might not be a bad idea. There was a tsb for cabin noise emminating from the headliner surrounding the sunroof, I believe.
I have a 2012 300S with 3500 miles and I took have my share of creaks and groans. I have the glove box rattle on occasion but over bumpy pavement it sounds as if my entire dash on the driver's side is moving about. I have my first oil change tomorrow and hopefully they can address this, the noisy A-pillar and a creak in the driver's seat that is making me less than happy. I too am curious if anyone has found a remedy for any of these issues. I have to say I love my car but little things like phantom rattles tend to make me like a little less on some days.

I've got about 800 miles on mine, I have the headline rattle and backseat rattle (sometimes).
I've already taken it in for the headliner rattle, they did something to fix it but after a day its back... I didn't mention the back seat since its not doing it all the time.

My rattles:
1. left back side roof. Doesn’t matter how smooth the read is you will hear it. it’s like if some screw is loss and moving around.
2. driver seat cracking noise. You can duplicated if you sit in the back and pulled the head rest towards you. Where the leather of the seat meats the plastic of the head rest is the problem.
3. when back shades are up and listing to music sometimes I hear rattling.

2. There was a thread a while back on this site about noise creaking. You might want to do a search and see if you can find it.
3. There is also a thread out on this site about a rattling noise from the back shade area. It's specific to cars where the rear shade was removed because of the upgraded speaker package but you might find that interesting as well.
I recently developed a rattle in the left back side roof area. Like bo3adsa, you could hear it regardless of how rough or smooth the road was. Pushing up on the inside window trim molding stopped the rattle. I stuffed pieces of paper towels up under the various panels all around the area and added felt feet under the exit assistance handles, where they retract into the mounting housing. This seems to have solved the rattle.
In regards to the sunroof or headliner rattle... I had this and took it to dealer. There was a star case that required the glass be readjusted and rubber seals greased. This has fixed my problem completely. I will post the star case # so hopefully it will help you.
