2013 300 Key

So....why exactly do we have a real key in the fob? I've looked all over and there is no place to stick it in.

I read the whole darn manual and all I can find is this blurp:

NOTE: You can insert the double-sided emergency key
into the lock cylinders with either side up.

Did I miss something here???

You missed the most obvious place!

Look at your drivers door handle.

If your battery goes dead, you will need the key to manually unlock the door to pop the hood,(or trunk).

I hear ya!

I only know because I asked the dealer taking delivery, (while I was standing right next to the drivers door)!

Some cars, (like my Corvette) have these hidden. So I thought it was a valid question as well!
