Uconnect phone/bluetooth problems

Took my 300S in a week ago because the phone screen wasn't working neither was the phone option under settings, not to mention it wasn't recognizing my phone through bluetooth. Dealership did a software update to no success. Still the same problems. They said they would have to order an external something or another and mount it in my dash. They said part would take a couple days to get there and they would call me. It's been over a week, no call no explanation. Anyone have a similar uconnect problem?

On a side note, do the dealerships get compensated by Chrysler for warranty work? It doesn't seem like they were too eager to do anything nor were they sympathetic in the least bit. It is an unwelcome change from dealing with BMW dealerships about warranty work. They bend over backwards to please you.

Don't tar all dealerships with the same brush. As MD stated above ^^ the dealers are reimbursed.

You never mentioned what type of phone you are using. Is it one of the later ones or really early model.
You could update your profile showing the 300 and what year model.

Yeah I am not tarring all dealerships, just a sour taste in my mouth from a couple I have dealt with.

The phone I am using is an iphone 4 with iOS7. At first I figured it was my old phone, but it doesn't even pick up any phone. The function is seems disabled.

I had a similar problem last week.Went to the store the phone wouldn't work.The 8.4 came on and said there was no phone in the car.Came out of the store the blue tooth worked and its working ok now.When we first got the car the battery started going dead every two days.The dealer had the car for a week and they determined that the problem was the hands free module.

What you are experiencing isn't normal and should be handled by the dealer. I have successfully paired the following:

Samsung Fascinate
Samsung Galaxy S3
Motorola Droid X
Motorola Droid Razr Hd
Apple Iphone 4


Currently my razr hd has priority so when it is present it will automatically pair when I start the car. If one of the other phones is present instead, they will pair.

The Iphone 4 is my son's phone and he indeed did receive the ios7 update, so I can say it is working.

I'd also suggest going to another dealer and depending on the service you get, use them for your other visits.

Mods (2005 C): Stereo only, PAC SNI, Peripheral CHYX, XM Commander, AudioControl four.1, MTX TA5604, MTX TA5601, Polk MMC6500, Polk MMC690, JL CS212R-W0 (2013 C): None..........yet

Can add the Iphone 5 as well.
The other half had the 4 and now runs the 5 and both work no problem.

The Iphone appears to work a lot quicker than the Samsung at pairing.
If we both get in the car at the same time, her phone always pairs before mine.

As cool said, take it to the dealer.
