Next Generation 300 2018-2019 Reevaluation

Rumor has it that Chrysler is re-evaluating the position of the 300. I currently own a 2012 300 that I would have upgraded early this year but I went with the 2014 xts-v being the 2015-16 is too much like the 2012. I still use the 300 about 50 percent of the time and cant wait for the new model because its suppose to be based on the ghibili.

Well rumor is Chrysler is thinking about moving the 300 to front wheel drive if that happens I will no longer be a Chrysler purchaser after 9 vehicles. (6 300s 1 LHS 1 aspen 1 Grand Cherokee)

I heard this months ago but left it to rumor but now more media sources is hearing the same thing If this happens Chrysler will just be another vehicle amongst the impalas and Taurus and such. If that happens im out. Im already upset that there is no hellcat 300. As soon as I start making enough money to afford a nice 300SRT I wanted a hellcat version but they said no not for the 300. Moving my favorite car (something I had 6 different versions dating back to the 300M series) to Front wheel drive is an out for me. I have a front wheel based allwheel drive system in my XTS-V and although I love the drive and the power 540hp 479lb tq (ecm tune) I drive my 300 for the feel of the road and to not kill my xts-v. But if this information is the real Im out...

Here is further validation of the reevaluation

Im NOT saying its definitely going to happen but where there's smoke there's fire. This rumor has been hovering for almost 6 months and that is a rumor I do not like. I hope like myself a lot of 300 owners do not want FWD and that Chrysler pays attention to the current buyers. But I wont hold my breath on it.

Rumor and speculation at this point. Those guys have to write something to get paid. Even the slightest whiff of potential new models or changes to existing ones incites a writing frenzy which, in many cases, has no basis in fact.

Now Im really out if 2018 is the last 300 that's RWD and 19 redesign is FWD. I thought I would always have a 300 in the house I guess you live and you learn. Im hoping and praying some other automaker steps up with affordable luxury RWD maybe GENESIS NEW LABEL but Chrysler is been a good run, Im not a dodge guy always Chrysler and Ive stuck by the brand since I was 21 Im now 36 I will be 40 in 19 making more money and Im out.

I'd accept AWD as long as it comes with a Hemi. If not (like this year), then eliminating RWD means no Chrysler 300C for me in the future. Good thing we got the 2015.

See my photo gallery section. First name is... uh... Tim. I know... it's Goofy! LOL

In love with my first wife & first car ('68 Charger) ... still have the wife
but now there's the 300C Platinum and an Edelbrock SC Magnum SRT8!

Resume Speed Im know you know your stuff and you have a connection to the inside, why would they alienate their current customer base. To make the 300 FWD brings it in line with the other FWD sedans like the Taurus, impala, Avalon, TLX, Passat, and others Why would Chrysler do this its like they want to do worse. Chrysler is a special vehicle because its one of the few RWD near luxury sedans. So now anyone that wants a RWD sedan will either get a Charger or leave FCA that to me is dumb but I guess it is what it is. Why not keep the current drive and offer variations, Im going to be angry because I will probably love the new redesign but I really cant do FWD and AWD is not as much fun.

News | Chrysler being ?re-evaluated?

The rumored XTS-V showed up? That's great, I just couldn't stomach the XTS-V Sport with a wheezy V6. I honestly would have an ATS-V instead of my 300 SRT8 if Caddy had dropped in a V8 as the original design called for. Cadillac forced me to look at the 300, I need the rumble of a V8, and the big Hemi brings it and I like it.

I would have ordered my wife's Town & Country with a V8 and Brembos if it were offered that way.

. Black Ops.
