Does anyone know where the humidity sensor is located on our vehicles? If so, how easy or not easy is it to change it? My air-recirculation button no longer works because of a faulty humidity sensor. Hoping to change it by myself if at all possible.

Interesting. I had a similar issue on my 2012 300S, but I never knew what caused the recirculation to shut off so quickly. This problem must be more wide-spread than we thought?
I claim it's that barrel-shaped thing under the starter button behind the little circular grill on the kick (or is it called a knee?) panel. Yes, it's fairly easy to get off, but IIRC there are 3 screws on the left hand side of the panel that have to come off first. The rest of the perimeter is held on with plastic clips. The barrel-shaped thing even has a dinky fan on it to ingest air from the cabin.
Found the sensor. What I had always thought was the sensor for the rain-sensing wipers; turns out that's actually the humidity sensor.
Took 5 minutes to change. The cover is held in via some plastic tabs, and then the sensor is held in with two tabs. Super easy. Beats the 150+ the dealer wanted to charge me to replace it. Tested the air re-circulation button and it works perfectly now.
Apparently the humidity sensor was supposed to be such a great idea by Chrysler that they got a patent for it. For Chrysler 300 it appears that it has only become a nightmare. The sensor was designed to measure the humidity in the car and give your comfort with causing wear and tear for your compressor. Who cares I do not want to pay the money it takes to get it changed. Apparently it is such a problem in South Florida, where I live, they are on back order. I tried to inquire whether or not there is a recall. The answer is no!
