Is the check engine light on?
What mods?
Last tune up?
What kind of daily driving do you do?
Need more information about your car?
Could need tube up, could have a sticking caliper, vacuum leak, crappy fuel, cat going bad, bad oxygen sensor, EGR dirty, I could go on for days... need more information

Any wet spots on driveway? Smell of gasoline under car? Or under hood?

No mods just a K&N intake, not a lot of heavy driving, oil changes done on time, & I haven't noticed any smell but I'm going to check to see if I there's any leaks.

Garage
I recently had a smell of gasoline in mine. Turned out to be a leaking gasket on the passenger side fuel pump. The dealer replaced it under my 7yr/100K warranty.

Are you seeing any codes? I don't know if the Key Dance works on Gen 2 cars or if you have a good Autozone near you they'll usually read codes for you

Did the smell come from inside the car?

I'd start by using a scanner that can graph or show values of live data... compare oxygen sensors voltages and also short term long term values. Could have a sensor going bad or slow that's just not setting code off. Best to check air/fuel quality and vacuum pressure for vacuum leaks etc. Let us know what you find
