On an HID note, I am less than impressed with the HID's that came with the vehicle. Can I just swap to a higher rated bulb? Does anyone know if the headlights are Hid's, will the fogs be as well?
Are you referring to the full system or the bulbs? My factory HIDs look more yellow than I'm used to...which leads me to believe they opted for a 4300k type bulb. I prefer closer to 6000k. Otherwise, it seems like a quality system. I've owned three prior HID systems, all after factory installed.
hey guys, in reference to the dome lights that are near impossible to pull out without damaging the reflective covering, has anyone tried to contact the dealership about a walkthrough? They must have something or some idea of how to pull it apart. I took a look at it as I am doing all LEDs throughout my new 300 as well and it would seem like you would need to pull the whole assembly off of the headliner.
Thoughts?
Those are the last ones I have before my car is completely LED. I still have no idea about them, but a guy selling one of those overhead consoles on eBay said they're held in by clips, and to remove the console you just pull down on it and it'll unclip from the headliner. So I may try that tomorrow or see if someone else does.

Yeeeaaa buddy! It felt that way, but I would also like someone else to try it first so that I do not break my new car within the first week that I bought it. Any volunteers?
Haahhahaha
Well, the reflector isn't the problem unfortunately. I'll get a picture later, but the map light seems to be inside a plastic housing that could either mean you have to remove that housing to get to the bulb (which we don't know how to do yet), or the light is a unique unit that can only be replaced with another one like it.
For reference, we have footwell lights in the front that are illuminated with a faint yellow light. Upon closer inspection, I found that they are their own Chrysler-made unit, rather than being a generic bulb, and therefore don't seem to be interchangeable.

Just refering to the bulbs. Like i posted previously, I had 10000K's in my prior C, so whatever these are rated at just don't seem to cut it. I saw someone also said that you can put LED's for the fogs, is this a simple bulb replacement or will it be an a$$ pain?

I bought a replacement overhead console on ebay just for this purpose. Should be here later this week, so I'll start poking into it then. I figured it was cheaper to spend $50 + $15 s/h and break that rather than the one that's in the car :-)
