Adding HID's

Yeah you bought the one I was looking at! I was going to buy it to add Homelink functionality, but I don't have a sunroof, so it would look weird for me to have a console with the buttons for one.

If I don't destroy it figuring out how to open it up for the bulb replacement, you can have it for $20 + shipping costs when I'm finished with it as I really don't need it.....

Really? If so I'll take it, for $20 it would be worth it so I can at least see if I can get the Homelink part to work. Thanks for letting me know!

Thats a great deal on the overhead console with Homelink. Wow! It would seem that because of the relative youth of our vehicles model type, that there isnt much of an aftermarket parts market yet. I cant seem to find SRT wheels, black grilles, black chrome accent packages, or anyone making a decent HID kit. I did order the DDM tuning 35watt 4500K 9006 kit though and the rigid loop festoon bulbs from them as well. I will be installing them this week when they get here after Chrysler fixes the condensation in my lamps and my trunk latch.
Is eBay really the only place to go for 2nd generation parts right now?

Those parts aren't available yet, unfortunately. I found the SRT8 grille for $125 and it was snatched up, I couldn't believe how great of a price that was. I'm looking out for either it or the grille found on the S model, they seem to be $250-$300 on eBay. Decent HID kits? DDM and V-LEDS are great!

No problem - I'm embarrassed to admit that mine already has the Homelink but when I saw the auction on eBay I was sure it didn't, so I bid on it :-) After the discussions about interior LED lighting I realized it would be a great reference point to figure out. I guess there are some benefits to early senility!

On the Homelink part, I think you will need to have the dealership use their Starscan to enable the Homelink module but could be wrong on that.

The guy that sold it to you told me it will work without dealer flashing if I don't mind using a stopwatch rather than the EVIC. If I take it to the dealer though the EVIC will display the steps needed to program as you probably know from having that feature.

My suspicion is that both pairs of lights in the overhead console can be replaced by some t10bulbs just like the glovebox and license plate lights. Does anyone have some spare T10 bulbs that are cool white to send me? Id rather not wait for an order from Hong Kong.

Well I know that 2 out of the 4 overhead lights are in fact T10, but we need to find out if the map lights are also T10 because they're covered with their own lens.

Check eBay, the US sellers seem to be pricing theirs about the same as Hong Kong lights.
