There are actually two different "1-2 shift issues", D. The one you describe, which does get fixed by the upcoming TCM flash, and the other, which is really the one they were after, as evidenced by the fact that the guy who they visited was complaining about the second one

Sometimes, and almost no car does it %100, mine does it maybe 1-2 times out of 10 WOT launches, in Autostick, you get

WAAAAAAA..wa.. WAAAAAAAAAAA instead of

WAAAAAAA..WAAAAAAAAAAAA

that little wa being a 1-2 second time during which the car just seems to not be doing squat about actually changin the gear. Revs dont increase, but she just kinda hangs before engaging second. Instead of the standard say.5 second shift, this pause lasts long enough to throw you forward as momemtum drops rapidly
