You can clearly see that the blue light is dimmer and largely washed out by the factory halogen on the right. So in terms of a color match it is undoubtedly closer, but in terms of brightness (safety) it is a lesser bulb.
And I will be adding to this thread shortly: I got a light meter and actually measured the light output of all of the previous bulbs, plus the HIR bulbs. The results are surprising! (hint, don't buy "Xenon" for light output) Full details, numbers, and pictures to follow...
