Hey Kro- Not familiar with the kit you have but sounds like it should work, however as long as you are shure it needs to be grounded. Is it 1 or 2 wires leading from your unit to go to the switch? If 1 your are most likely correct about grounding, if 2 then most likely they should be shorted together. If the product has a website you can sometimes look at the pic and see how it's supposed to work. Hope this helps some
