Smile INDY 6.1 Heads/Intake Dynoed +40hp

We bolted a set of INDY's CNC ported 6.1 heads and their intake on my SRT-8 this week and then I did some dyno testing today. Numbers were -

375.84hp/379.62ft-lb before this upgrade
407.49hp/396.00ft-lb after the head/intake install

That's about a 32hp improvement at the rear wheels and 40hp at the flywheel. Flywheel hp is up close to 510. Just a little higher than what we'll be seeing from the 6.4 when it's released in these cars in a few years.

The added power is really noticeable from 4000 RPMs to redline. I'm going to try to keep the stock cam in there... for now The ASM supercharger is looking pretty good too. I just don't want to turn this into a "race car". It will see some track action if the weather is good next weekend through.

Tom
