I would love to get rid of the red light, just not understanding the method I read. I heard that you push something into the female end of the seatbelt until it clicks, and that fixes it. Also, if you do that can you still use the seatbelt properly? In other words, it still locks in place and everything works as normal, just when its not plugged in the light is off the dash?
Do you have to do it to both front seatbelts to disable the light?

Sounds like a BIG to do about nothing! Just wear he belt.
