Mostly because of better bandwitdth as I'm going to use a slingbox to watch tv and also so that any passengers in the car can fire up a laptop or pda and do whatever they want instead of what I have up on the screen. I make a good deal of road trips back and forth to Indiana and it would be nice if the GF could also use her laptop to do her own thing.
Wireless router with broadband card??? Wait.... Please explain this a little more. I have a verizon card for my lap top, and that is how I access the internet from my car. But how do you incorperate a wireless router? I thought you had to have a phone line/cable line for the router. This would bring new heights to my abilities with an onboard router.

Eugene, thanks for those pictures. Those are some great installs. If I didn't already have the navigation, that is the route I would go.
