2-3 times per year at most. I use clay as part of the procedure for cleaning in preparation for applying paint sealant, which is good for 6 months for the kind of climate and driving that I do. And I still wash the car once or more per week... depends on the road conditions (wet and sloppy gets more frequent washes).
