I know too that these dealers get paid by Chrysler to do the warranty work that they perform on these cars, so I asked myself why they would turn down any work. It seems that they would have listings of the TSB's that need to be performed on all Chrysler cars on the billboards in front of their buildings. I enquired to an industry person as to why this may be the case and the answer made a lot of sense. Dealers get rated on the amount of warranty work they do versus the amount of cars they sell. It is part of the inter-dealership ratings. Of course Chrysleer wants them to perform as little as possible, so as to keep their cost low and profits high. This would account for the jack assedness that is displayed by almost all of the service managers out there (there are exceptions), it is taught, and not (necessarily) a character defect, or a genetic trait sought after by district service manager recruiters. The ratings affect co-op marketing plans and product allocations, and possibly other things, as I understand. This info was not from a Chrysler dealer, but I was assured that they all work in a similar fashion. I'm just sayin.....is all.
