I don't understand what is making the contact patch shorter front to back? I can understand PSI having an affect on the amount of rubber touching the ground(I let my PSI out to about 15-18 at the strip for traction), but for every day 32-35 PSI driving, what is changing?
less psi makes the bottom of the tire flatter so more tire is touching the ground front to back, if you have more psi that will make the flat spot on the bottom smaller and less will touch the ground.
