Wonders of Micro Fiber
|
I read some of the comments on drying in an earlier post and I must voice my opinion. Any Chamois, whether its a leather one or synthetic can potentially harm your finish. If you look at a chamois under a micro scope you will see just how flat the surface is, extremely unforgiving if a foreign partical gets inbetween the chamois and your finish. The introduction of Micro Fiber has brought great things to the detailing world. Not only is micro fiber soft on your finish, but is it super absorbant. The waffle weave drying towel that I sell has recessed chambers which are extremely forgiving if a contaminant gets inbetween the towel and the finish. Here are some quick facts on MF. Every square inche of micro fiber has over 90,000 fibers. Each fiber is 100 times thinner than a strand of hair. while being able to absorb 7 times its own weight, making them the perfect drying towel. Not all Micro fiber are created equal. In my area I have become the largest distributor of MF towels. I have gone through dozens of suppliers before finding the right quality. The best quality right now is coming form Korea, while the cheap imatations are coming from China. Mine have been tested for 500 washes and still are going strong. If you have not used micro fiber yet, do yoursefl a favor a treat yourself to some. Your car will thank for for it, and the finish will love you. Gary
