True, but remember when you ever tried to see better in a fog by turning on your regular lights? The fog itself reflected your lights back at you.

So, not only is yellow a better color for them, but also to get them lower and closer to the road to cut down on particle reflection so you can see the road. More power at the light probaly <won't> do any better for that purpose.

"Course, if you'll want to show off all your lamps to attract the feminine fireflies, that's something else. :^))))
