As for getting sideways, the procedure I described above does not completely deactivate the ESP system, but it will certainly allow you to kick the rear end out at will.

well i dont have much interest in doin any burnouts. but it would be nice to put the car sideways. i know how to deactivate the ESP. but it still doesnt allow me to go sideways. i was reading a big thread about it over at charger forums, from the SRT engineers chat session. and apparently, even with ESP deactivated, all it does is turn off torque management. it will still brake the spinning wheel. and what they were calling YAW control, is still in tact.
i just dont see why its so hard to make a programmer to shut this stuff down. or maybe by pass a few sensors used by the ESP. anybody looked into that. there must be sometype of sensor in the steering box that senses front wheel angle so YAW knows when to kick in. if you could put a sim in to trick it into thhinking the front wheels were always straight. you could probably full out drift.
