Have you tried running chkdsk -r on it? Might have some bad sectors on the drive. If you had data you need on it there are lots of programs and companies that will help you get that data. Times like these that remind us to backup often.

Also check your motherboard. Look at the capacitors around the processor... are any of them bulging or have what looks like a dried booger on them? Then you have some leaky caps and it's actually not the hard drives but the mobo that needs to be swapped.
