I have had this ticking noise coming from the passengers back seat area that drives me insane (I can't drown it out with the radio). It is almost constant at times (in the morning especially) and totally goes away at other times, usually when I am at the dealer. I tried WD-40 on the rear seat latch and tried felt/taping down the seat belt anchor/rolling part but nothing worked.

I went to the dealer today and we were unable to duplicate it. The noise happened once or twice and the technician thought it came from the door lock actuator. It didn't happen enough for the technician to diagnose it - so I'll have to leave the car overnight some day and hope he'll see it in the morning. I also tried to get my steering wheel cracked audio buttons fixed, but could't get that done. I'd just like to go with the black 07 steering wheel audio buttons - they don't look better but at least they won't crack.

On the way back home, of course, I noticed the same freaking ticking sound on a rough road and on the highway. To test the door actuator theory, I unlocked all the doors and the ticking sound went away. I locked the door and it started to tick again. I did this a couple of times with the same result. I'll try this out throughout the week, hopefully I get this issue fixed and enjoy my C again.
