That's what I thought as well, however I have 2 school age children that occassionally ride along(
) and yes the dark mats help alot. But the light carpet hasn't got trash like I thought but I do notice the small particles like lent show up much more than I care to notice. Which cause for me to keep a hand vacuum in the trunk.
