No vvt on the 6.1 engines...
That's not the way I understand it. I've heard that the current 6.1 hemi is one of the only push rod engines in history to offer VVT. That's why it performs as well as it does. I guess we could ask this question of the SRT engineers during the next session to confirm it.

The 6.4 crate engines (392) put out 525-540hp...
I'll believe it when I see the dyno. It just doesn't seem possible out of a NA push rod engine.

The new 2008 Viper 8.4 with vvt is rated at 600 hp...
I was referring to the current 8.3 ltr Viper, not the one that is yet to come.
