No worry, when I installed mine I slid the plastic tab behind the rear pillar, I don't rememer if it was the same for the front as I had my panels off to install the mirrors. One thing I did have to do on the top of the center pillars there is rubber piece that I had to trim down by a hair to get the window trim to lay straight on top of the center pillars.
