Well after much debate and curiosity I thought I would finally take the plunge and try one of these CAI, after all its only money right????
I will start from the top.

Great and helpful bunch of guys who also have a few extras goodies for our cars down there. That and they offer a discount to all forum members as well. Anyway the cost of the intake from them worked out almost identical to what it would have costed me to import in from the States. That teamed up with the fact they have goods in stock so no waiting time, can replace under warrantee etc etc etc, well I will be back again and so should all the members. Fantastic and A++++++. Great to see we are finally starting to get some local support.
Next I got it home and installed it last night. The instructions weren't as clear and precise as they could have been and a little extra work/modification was needed to be done to ensure a correct fit and the bonnet to close without interference. This was obvious though and could be carried out by anyone. Other than that, there was no problems what so ever.
Next, the sound. FAAAAARRCK. Unbelievable. I had to check twice that the coupling and pipe had not come off because it was ridiculously loud to the point of ridiculous. Let me just say that the $ side of the purchase did not worry me and if a performance gain was not there, this would also not faze me cos man does it sound tough now. I wish I had of done this ages ago.
Now performance. I have been very skeptical of these units and the biggest thinng I was concerned about was the CAI drwaing in hot engine bay heat. Not with the AFE II. Completely sealed from the engine bay. Air cleaner sits directly above air intake outlet on the left hand side of the car. How does it go. Karla noticed the difference straight away and so did I. It definitely breathes and pulls much harder and this modification is definitely what any and all SRT8 needs. Highly recommend.
