Subwoofer venting? would this work?

I was wondering if this would be a good idea?

Alot of sound comes out of the vent on a ported box. What if you extended the vent to your cabin area. Wether the box being 2 x subs or a single sub.
I know this diagram wont work in stereo because both sides are combined at the 8" exit,. Plus going from 2" to 8" the sound of "air" would be less. but i think the tone would remain.

Forgot to detail the 8" penetration is sealed, not floating undernieth the factory hole.

It may be a dumb idea but im just brainstorming in to a place i dont have much experience in.

Could this take away some trunk rattle due to less pressure in the trunk space?
