Disc Read Error on Navigation??

So last week I took my car into a local speed shop that does alot of work for me. I had them install a 180 thermo. in addition to the GSM fan/esp/torque management mod. The nav was working fine prior to when I brought it in, and perhaps 2 days afterwards, I starting getting a message on my nav that read 'NAV MESSAGE'. #1.) I have no clue how to access any messages on the navigation. I couldn't find that anywhere. #2.) It makes this very annoying beeping noise as a warning that there is a message. #3.) A larger message eventually stays on the nav system that reads 'Disc Read Error'. I took out the disc, cleaned it, and put it back in but that didn't do anything.

Do any of you think that the GSM install could have tripped something in the nav or do you think they're unrelated, and just a coincidence that it happened shortly after the install.

Second, the esp switch works 100%; no issues there. The fan switch however only comes on when you flip the swithc and only when the car is actually running (I can hear it), but can't be turned on when the car isn't running (which I thought that was one of the perks to the kit). Next, even though I have the fan button on, the 180 degree thermo. the car still gets into the 210's. Yes, before it would get 230+ within 25 minutes of driving down here in GA, but I guess I was under the wrong assumption that it would stay within the 180 range. Any input would be appreciated. Thanks!
