Yeah, if you get it today. On a recent road trip, I got off at the wrong exit and paid right at $2.50 for mid-grade (over $40 to fill up).
Maybe these new gauges will come with stickers to reflect current pricing

.....of course the stickers, while outrageous today, probably won't go high enough......Does everyone remember the gas pumps that couldn't register a price over 99.9 cents per gallon? For the younger set here, there was notes on the pumps to double the cost....for example, if gas was 1.20 the pump was set at 0.60 and you and the cashier had to double what was indicated on the pump. You really had to pay attention because the phase in of pumps with the extra digit took quite some time....for a long time, we had a mismatch of pumps...some places you doubled the total, some not.
That brings back another thought.....remember how credit cards were verified? The cashier had that thick book (issued monthly) that he/she used to verify your card....swiping? what the heck is swiping? If you mentioned that term, somebody would have pointed toward the restroom.
How about oil
cans? I still have several openers. I bet a significant percentage of drivers wouldn't even recogonize one or be able to visualize its function.
How about points? If you went 10,000 miles without adjusting, filing or replacing your points it was a big deal. Ditto with spark plugs.
What about the first seat belts with the shoulder harness? Talk about being strapped in; you could barely adjust the radio...open the glovebox while strapped in? are you crazy?
Man, I feel old when I think how much things have changed in the last several decades.
