sure it's easier to pay someone to do it, but is it better? Keep in mind the guy changing oil at the dealership is not their top technician; he's the kid who worked at the quickie lube place last week.
I'd to it myself even if the dealer would do it for free, if only to avoid the stripped out drain plugs, overtightened filters, and oily fingerprints on my car!
