I got the letter about a month ago. Checked the "Fix it" box and gave it to the dealer at next service. Got a call from dealer service the following week saying part not available. That's nice. Let's see now. Letter says customer has until Dec 1, 2007 to make a move, photocopies not accepted. Original given to service department, then find out that there are no parts. I questioned what part was no longer available thinking there may have been an error on the order. Service manager didn't seem to know.
That is when I did a search and found this forum. Call the dealer and give him the Rapid Response number above. I get a call back saying that they now have the part on order and that they had found it via a different RR number.
Thanks to this forum for giving me the info I needed to get this moving.
