VSS-Vehicle Speed Sensor.

The D3 uses a system so it can located the car even without a GPS signal based on the speed and direction of travel. Without the VSS hooked up, it has no idea how fast the car is going and can't keep track of it, so if it loses the GPS signal it gets all confused and screwed up.
