From what I've learned here is that re-flashing to a previous version is either not possible, or PERHAPS it may be done by someone who has a great deal of knowledge of the StarScan tool. There have been some who tried to reverse the 1-2 hesitation flash to no avail.

Bernie - you're right on both accounts. Normally a flash cannot be reverted to any previous version, however, it can be done by someone with the right knowledge and skills. I know that I've reverted a few and so has MagnumFreak and I think possibly JAAK as well. However, it does entail manually editing files on the StarScan and I highly doubt any dealer tech would ever do it. Mostly because they don't have the computer skills in doing so, but also because that nice expensive piece of equipment is not theirs and they would not want any responsibility in modifying the software.
About the only way to get this done is to find a forum member with their own StarScan who is knowledgable and willing to do this. However, even with the knowledge, it is sometimes impossible to get the module back to the requested version simply because the version wanted/needed has never been available via StarScan. Example: my 2007 SRT8 came factory fresh with a version that eliminated the 1-2 shift hesitation. There were no updates available for nearly a year as it came with the latest & greatest. In the last few months though, a new update has come out that I did apply. I cannot ever go back to my factory version because it has never been distributed as a StarScan update. It was a factory loaded version only - thus no possibility to revert it.
