I wanted to have the wheels static balanced so that the weights would be on the inside. This would give a cleaner look and prevent marks from developing on the rims from the weights. The first shop I went to could only balance up to 17" rims. The second shop said they would do it for me, but the tires wouldn't be balanced as well. He said currently the tires are balanced top to bottom and left to right, but with a static balance, you only get one of the two (can't remember which).

I wanted to get options and opinions on this issue. I know that there is a powder that can be put inside the tires and the tires are rebalanced each time you drive, but I don't have any experience with that.

What do you guys think I should do?

Don't know anything about magic power inside your tires, but I'd go to a dealer. If they can balance an SRT8 wheel and use the stick on weights on the inside for them I'm sure they could do the same for your wheels.
