I've had my rims for a while now and have had any problems or issues. A while back TIS had a problem with a defective shipment of rims. A lot of EBAY sellers and bad vendors purchased/kept them and sold them to the public....maybe your brother has a set of those rims. He might want to contact TIS directly or perhaps take them back to the shop he purchased them from.
IF ANYONE PURCHASES A SET OF RIMS AND HAVE PITTING OR OTHER ISSUES AFTER 2 MONTHS--TAKE THEM BACK!!!! I HAVE YET TO SEE A TIRE SHOP NOT WILLING TO TAKE CARE OF THE CUSTOMER INSIDE OF 6 MONTH WITH CHROME WHEEL ISSUES.
If you purchased your tires from a private seller, call it a loss. I had a set of rims from TSW and had issues afer a year and they still took care of me because they stood behind their product and their finish.
