Is it common for HID bulbs to make a slight buzzing sound?

Hey guys i wanted to take a peak at my hid kit before i actually mount the ballast and ignitor. I just plugged them in real fast of course the connectors had to be reversed. Anyway they are working great but i tried them just for a second because i have to send the bulb in they sent h4 i need h1.

The one thing i noticed was the hid bulb was making a slight buzzing sound. I dont know if this is common? Or It takes a few minutes for the hids to warm up, i am just not sure. It is about 10 degrees here in michigan very cold.
I just want to make sure this is not something i should worry about.

thanks in advance,
todd
