no, the stock brakes are not that bad. Actually kind of "robust" for a luxo sedan kind of car.
I am coming to believe that about 1/2 of the problems are due to improper or no bedding of the brakes. This accounts for many of the "warped" rotor issues as well as the squealing and other complaints.
And the aftermarket is ready for you with pad and rotor upgrades to increase your performance with no big $$$ required.
