HID Halo help

Ok, I want to know where I can tap in to get power for my halo's??? I am being told that the only place would be ignition that way they come on as soon as my car is turned on. I want them on when my daytimes are on but am told that I cannot tap into any of that existing wiring because of resistors. Thanks to mercedes everything is ran through a computer and messing with that wiring is not going to help me... Any better suggestions????
