Ask to see the Warranty manual before you buy. Here is some relevant info from mine:
For vehicles imported by DCUK: 3yrs/60,000miles
Brake discs 3yrs/24,000miles.
Brake pads: 3yrs/12,000miles.
Sheet metal panels: 2yrs, unlimited distance (actually, I think the 2yrs doesn't include the extra 1yr for UK imports, but the manual does say 2yrs).
Outer-body (visible panels) corrosion: 7yrs, unlimited distance.
Extended Emission Warranty:5yrs/50,000miles. First 2yrs unlimited distance.
This covers all parts which can influence emissions; eg sensors, fuel injection, exhaust pipes, catalyst, EGR valve, vacuum hoses, etc.
The warranty seems quite good, apart from the discrepancy between the two types of body panels.
