predator tunes
|
I have an '06 300C 5.7 with CAI. I set the predator at 91 CAI, raised shift firmness, raised shift points, raised rev limiter to 6,450, and at 57 degrees Farenheit, [i]one run only in this tune[i], in auto mode it ran 5.63 to 60mph, 13.99 in 1/4 at 105.8 mph. The best stock tunes were about the same to 60 (if memory serves only one run was at 5.38, the rest about 5.8 or higher), 14.07 e.t., and in another run, 106.2 mph. Most stock runs were 14.2to 14.5 around the 104s or low 105s. With 91 octane setting (without CAI setup, but with CAI installed) it ran a best e.t. of 13.98, but I have yet to fully learn the best launch pedal and optimum shift points. I suspect that I think about 5,700-5900 rpms will give me better e.t.s than the 6,100-6,200 auto shift points.
What rpms do you shift at for best results with just the Predator and 91 CAI tune? The manual shift will let me shift at whatever rpm I want to, up to 6450, so I think these custom mods are good and safe.
[b]Question:[b] Should I add 1% or 2% fuel at WOT higher rpms, or is this not necessary? What other changes do you recommend to this tune? Thanks!
