Unfortunately I havn't acquired the car yet but as per the same reason as 'gizmo'...my inspiration came from my admiration of the Rover P5 and it's resemblance to the 300C. It has that unique ability to adapt to the desires of those who crave to adorn it with mods of every conceivable description to the engine, interior / exterior and chassis in true American style and those (including myself) who merely wish to experience the pleasure of sedately driving a very large comfortable motor car that also has a distinct sense of Britishness about it.
