I recently had a problem with a diesel fuel leak from the injection pump on my Audi A4 1.9TDI. A couple of garages gave me the runaround by suggesting I needed a new pump (big money here). I then took the car to a diesel specialist who said they would get their pump expert to have a look. The expert turned out to be a young lady who was extremely knowledgeable (a bit like Vinny's girlfriend in the movie) and who pronounced that only some new seals would be needed. When the young lady was replacing the engine cover, I asked her to make sure she didn't over-tighten the nuts as I know the A/V mounts can be easily sheared. She gave me a withering look, as if I were a complete idiot, and said "of course I won't over-tighten, I'm a woman aren't I?" Needless to say, she did an excellent job and at a fair price.
