Too funny! I agree we should print the TSB and hand it to the cops.
Have some good news to report. Since my first post to this thread, I've changed the air filter and have used premium fuel system cleaners(twice now) and there has been a marked improvement in this behavoir. Just sucks that it does require "gunning the car" above 2500rpm regularly to keep carbon deposits off the valves.
I'll keep everyone updated as to whether regular use of fuel system cleaners improves this any further
