Please include a disclaimer…this is for a crate motor with no warranty…Also, the mopar cam for the 392 (6.1 based) crate motor specifically states not for use with the stock pistons due to the valve clearance. Are the springs/retainers on the heads used on the 392s different than the 6.1?
>0.55 inches of lift on a stock cam. The cam is more agressive than an old 340 Hi po cam. We really do not test aftermarket cams in production motors. The cams are computer designed with specific ramps to allow a best spring comprimise design to work. We need to balance performance, fuel economy and durability. All of the Mopar 392 parts are from Comp Cam .
