I'm assuming you're referring only to the first gear shift point. Shift points have evolved over the years, largely due to feedback received during these webchats. There were some complaints in 2005/2006 that there were inconsistent 1-2 shifts with occasional engine "bogging" following the shift. What you may be seeing is this change from vehicle to vehicle and year to year. The GC also accelerates faster than the LXs so tach lag is more pronounced on that application in first gear.
