Over here in WA(well, Perth anyway) this is a feature with a lot of the cars. Our Territory and Falcon both have that (1st = lock, 2nd = check). Also if it finds any problem like an open door, it will then sound a couple of times, notifying of the problem....

(Now that I think of it, could be a particular Ford feature of course)

In Holland (were I come from originally) I have never seen this feature. Apparently there is a European (or at least UK and NL) rule about that ..
