You're not doing anything
wrong, exactly. When you post using the site posting feature, that's the way they appear. When we click the thumbnails they appear full-size.
Most of the full-size-in-the-post pics are hosted somewhere other than the forum - photobucket, for example. Then, the pics in the post are just linked from the hosting site. If the poster is a premium member, they may be linked from their own gallery.
Go back and re-read HEMEE's post #6 on the how-to. It's all in there. If, you have any questions after that, come back. It's easy once you've done it a time or two.
