Oh, I know John... most of it is Gov't taxes. Love to try and get the cash from you somehow, they all do it. I heard one theory in germany about the higher taxes on fuel were also meant to simply make gas more expensive to force lower consumption.. who really knows. I feel your pain. Although in germany and my week in England, the roads were soooooo much nicer, I am sure they could figure out how to ease the pain on the little guy who makes just enough wage to buy the fuel to go to work..

My point was.. if you aren't going to revolt, the short term solution is to figure it like I do, a cost of driving something fun versus a Smart car or Ugly Citroen or something..
