tis official. I'm now a rather proud owner of a black 300c CRD (pics to follow).
the question is, should i be peeved? I checked the label on the door and it seems to indicate that this vehicle was actually manufactered (wait for it May 2007!!). I pointed this out to the dealer who was surprised. Anyhow, it's registered as an 08 and i've driven it away and I have to say i'm totally satisfied.....
now.. if i've read the label right and it is a may 07 car (approx 1 year old) then that may explain the slight corrosion (which i'm assured will be sorted out under warranty). Have I really bought a "new" car?
I've done 100 odd miles in it already and caught sight of a mineral grey touring going northbound on the M1 (between J16 and J17 at approx 1800 yesterday). I'm totally pleased with the purchase. The manufacturing date won't effect the residual and it only had 14 miles on the clock. ahh, the paranoid in me thinks that I should be really pi**ed off about it.. but i'm not.
I was parked up in it yesterday when an old fella (i'd say mid 60's) literally stood in front of the car and stared avidly at the grille and badge.
needless to say, he was obviously unimpressed upon finding that it was NOT a bentley.
oh well, just the rantings of a fellow owner. Now all I have to do is figure how to set everything up.
I'll take note of the software version, sat nav version etc and will post later.
